The guide was a joint project of the Department of Indigenous Affairs, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) and the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Services to Indigenous People in the Shire of Derby - Mapping and Gap Analysis Report

Prepared by the Department of Indigenous Affairs in order to identify the strengths and gaps in service delivery and coordination in the Derby area. The report presents relevant statistical data and a detailed analysis of issues in the areas of health, family, housing, justice, education, employment and training services.

The report makes 81 recommendations to improve service provision and coordination for Indigenous people in the Derby area.

Services to Indigenous People in the Shire of Wiluna - Mapping and Gap Analysis Report

Prepared by the Department of Indigenous Affairs for the Shire of Wiluna in order to identify the strengths, issues and gaps in services impacting on Indigenous people in the Shire. The report presents relevant statistical data and a detailed analysis of issues in the areas of health, community services, housing, justice, education, economic development, land and heritage.

The report makes 86 recommendations to improve outcomes for Indigenous people in the region.

Services to Indigenous People in the Town of Port Hedland - Mapping and Gap Analysis

Prepared by the Department of Indigenous Affairs for the Pilbara Government Managers Indigenous Forum.

This report makes a number of strategic and operational recommendations that focus upon developing a collaborative and coordinated approach across all functional areas and tiers of government to address the situation faced by Indigenous people in Port Hedland.

The Mulga Malle Regional Council, The Department of Indigenous Affairs and The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder agree they have a joint responsibility to address the needs of Aboriginal people in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and agree to work together to establish a framework to achieve sustainable social, cultural, economic and environmental development for Aboriginal people in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Sharing Our Stories is a comprehensive but easily accessible document providing tools for planning and delivering a range of interpretation projects including walk trails, museum exhibitions and educational programs. Copies can be downloaded from the National Trust of Australia website.

 

Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody Implementation Report

The Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody Implementation Report relates to the period ending 30 November 2000. The progress report is part of the State's commitment to maintain a regular and transparent reporting process to Parliament and to the Ministerial Council for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs on the implementation of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody recommendations.
